There will be extended lab hours Thursday, April 11 from 1-4PM.
The open archaeology lab will be running:
This will be weekly occurrence for the duration of the semester unless you hear otherwise
PLEASE NOTE there will be extended hours this Thursday, February 21, 1:00-4:00
Please email Jessica Striebel MacLean (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you plan to attend.
Please email CUArchCircle@gmail.com for a pdf of the Galways Plantation research article. Galways Plantation is another late 18th-century plantation on Montserrat that is a good analog for the Little Bay Plantation. Sadly, Galways was located in the south of the island directly in the path of the 1996 volcanic eruption and no longer exists, but the article provides a good introduction to the island and the British plantation system in the West Indies. Please give a quick read through if you’re interested in the Little Bay project.
Friday Archaeology Labs are starting again!
If you are interested in participating this semester, join Jessica MacLean tomorrow afternoon (January 25) at 1:00 in the archaeology lab, Schermerhorn Extension Room 954.
For those of you interested in participating who cannot make it tomorrow afternoon, please email Jessica (email@example.com) your availability as she will be scheduling at least one additional lab time during the week.
